Welcome to the Longridge and North Preston Rotary Club's 5th Cyclo Sportive.
Starting in Longridge and going over the fell with fantastic views of the Ribble Valley, through picturesque Waddington and on into Yorkshire with views of two of the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Up to Settle on peaceful roads to cross the border again into Cumbria near Sedbergh and on through Kirkby Lonsdale back into Lancashire, passing Stocks Reservoir and through Gisburn Forest and small villages including the centre of the United Kingdom, Dunsop Bridge. Feed station will be provided on the route.
The total ascent is 2212m or 7260ft.
The route can be shortened to 46 miles by turning Left at Wigglesworth on the B6478 and picking up the return route at Slaidburn. See below for more details.
As with everything we do as a Rotary Club, all staffing is with volunteers so all our income from events goes to the charitable causes nominated. In this case, as it was last year, Prostate Cancer Research.
